Meet the Ryatt Optometry team
Ryatt Optometry is a friendly, independent family run practice with a commitment to providing high quality eye care and a personal service. We aim to exceed expectations in patient care and product quality, developing the highest levels of clinical care for all the family. Our friendly team is always willing to help.
The practice is accredited in the Leicestershire Cataract and Lens Implant Referral Service, and the Leicestershire and Rutland Assessment Scheme for Young Children.

We are also accredited to provide CUES (COVID URGENT EYECARE SERVICES). IT IS A COMPLETELY FREE SERVICE OFFERED TO ALL PATIENTS REGISTERED WITH A G.P.
Mr.S.S Ryatt
Director / Optometrist
Mr. Ryatt qualified in optometry and visual science in 1997 with a first class degree from City University, London. In December 2008 Mr Ryatt was awarded an MSc in clinical optometry from City University London. This was achieved after 9 modular examinations and writing a research thesis. The research was undertaken at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.
Sarabdip opened his Opthalmic practice in 2007. With over 20 years experience, he understands the importance of taking the time to listen to the concerns of patients and ensuring that they are fully addressed during the consultation.
His specialist interest includes diabetes and its effects on the eye as well as treatment of dry and watery eyes.
Denise Fairlie
Optical assistant
Denise is one of the Optical Assistants in our practice. She joined the team over 12 years ago, bringing in invaluable experience in customer relations. With her excellent telephone manner and friendly approach Denise provides a personal and professional service to all our patients.
Her main role is to look after our patients, from helping them choose frames to explaining the available lenses. Denise also handles administration duties to make sure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
Jessica Cave
Optical assistant
Jessica is the newest member of our team. She is enthusiastic, friendly and efficient. She handles the day to day running of the practice. Jessica enjoys helping our patients choose the right spectacle frames.
