Ryatt Optometry is a friendly, independent family run practice with a commitment to providing high quality eye care and a personal service. We aim to exceed expectations in patient care and product quality, developing the highest levels of clinical care for all the family. Our friendly team is always willing to help.

The practice is accredited in the Leicestershire Cataract and Lens Implant Referral Service, and the Leicestershire and Rutland Assessment Scheme for Young Children. We are also registered with the local Primary Care Trust to provide domiciliary eye examinations to patients who are housebound.

Mr. S.Ryatt - Optometrist / Director

Mr. Sarabdip Ryatt - Optometrist / Director

Mr. Ryatt qualified in optometry and visual science in 1997 with a first class degree from City University, London. In December 2008 Mr Ryatt was awarded an MSc in clinical optometry from City University London. This was achieved after 9 modular examinations and writing a research thesis. The research was undertaken at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham.

Sarabdip opened his Opthalmic practice in 2007. With over 17 years experience, he understands the importance of taking the time to listen to the concerns of patients and ensuring that they are fully addressed during the consultation.

His specialist interest includes diabetes and its effects on the eye as well as treatment of dry and watery eyes.

Denise - Optical Assistant

Denise - Optical Assistant

Denise is one of the Optical Assistants in our practice. She joined the team over seven years ago, bringing in  invaluable experience in customer relations. With her excellent telephone manner and friendly approach Denise provides a personal and professional service to all our patients.

Her main role is to look after our patients ensuring that their needs are met: from choosing the frames according to the facial shape, features and complexions to explaining the available lenses suitable for particular requirements. Denise also handles administration duties to make sure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently.

Maxine - Optical Assistant

Maxine - Optical Assistant

Maxine has been part of our team for nearly four years. As an optical assistant Maxine makes sure every customer gets a great experience when they visit us. It means listening to what the patient wants, explaining offers and products and dispensing different types of lenses.

She thrives on excellent customer service and tries her utmost to look after all of our patients well. She gives good clear advice and is a natural when it comes to customer service, she has over 10 years of experience in the field. Maxine is articulate, good with people, with an organised approach and always happy to help, maintaining the practice's high standards.
